Minister for Power & Water / Energy & Water Resources, Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir
Hon. Saqib Majeed Raja is a member of the Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly and currently serves as the Minister responsible for Power & Water, with responsibility for the Energy and Water Resources portfolio in the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
He was elected to the AJK Legislative Assembly from LA-31 Muzaffarabad-V in the 2026 general elections as a candidate of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), securing 32,511 votes.
Following the formation of the new AJK cabinet, Raja Saqib Majeed was sworn in as a cabinet minister on 4 September 2026. His portfolio includes Energy and Water Resources, placing him at the centre of matters related to electricity, energy policy, and water-resource management in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
As Minister for Power & Water, his responsibilities are closely connected with the development and improvement of energy infrastructure and public electricity services across AJK. His portfolio also includes oversight of the broader energy and water-resource sector, which plays an important role in supporting economic development, public services, and the daily needs of communities throughout the region.
With his election from Muzaffarabad and appointment to the cabinet, Hon. Saqib Majeed Raja is part of the current leadership responsible for advancing the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir’s priorities in the energy and water sectors.
